So loving the ruffles.....You put the polka dots after covering the cake or before? So neatly done.

Rinashouse- I made the pleated panels on my mat, then added the polka dots, and then added the panel to the cake. I could have put the dots on once the entire cake was done but the red fondant was soft so once they were on the cake I had paper towels wadded up under them to keep them sticking up as much as possible and I didn't want to mess with them anymore. So I did the dots before. It gave me better control also so I could mold dots over the ridges of the pleats with one finger underneath. Or add a ha...
