In: Venetian Masquerade in album: Round Wedding Cakes
Wedding cake for a Venetian masquerade theme. Top mask made out of gumpaste. Top tier is vanilla with fondant accents. Little gumpaste masks on the cupcakes. Decorated the cake stand and 200 cupcakes = really time consuming! Thx for looking.

the masks are beautiful! did you have a mold or are they handmade? i have a similar order coming up and was wondering how to do the masks. tia!

Unfortunately i had to do all 100 by hand. I looked around for a mould or a template or something and no one had anything. Sooo. What i did is drew a template of about 3 different shaped masks on parchment paper and used my exacto knife to cut them out. I moulded/pinched a nose and sort of shaped them to arc over the sides of my cookie sheets. Left to dry for 2 days and voila!
