Lovely! The tiers are so clean -- did you use ganache or BC underneath?

Beautiful!!! Are you telling me that you pipped the bottom tier? I thought it was stenciled!!! Well done!!!

Thank you all! xx Sixbittersweets I used ganache, and yes rosa369, the bottom tier was hand piped. I copied the pattern from a piece of lace I found, it took over 6 hours!

Gorgeous cake...and that is one of the most stunning roses I've ever seen! Love the color!

Beautiful, I agree with theonlynameleft - the colour of the rose is stunning and your piping is incredible, well done :)

Absolutely beautiful! Can you tell me how you were able to transfer the lace pattern onto the cake, or was that freehanded? Your rose is perfect, too. Love the touch of ribbon streamers.

Hi Katjo, I photocopied the lace and traced it onto baking paper, then taped it to the cake and pinpricked out the design, removed paper and piped over the pin holes. The spray coming from behind the rose is fine boutique feathers :)
