This cake was my own personal nightmare. It was my first time using Swiss Buttercream, which I liked, but did not have enough of. It used a TON of buttercream. You can tell in the join between the lower and middle tier, it looks funny because I was trying to stretch what buttercream I had left. In my design I did not account for the fact that the top tier would end up the same width as the middle, smooth tier, so I think that looks a little funny. The whole thing did not survive transportation anyway, so it didn't matter in the end. This was my first delivery disaster, but luckily it was a free cake for a good friend's birthday and she didn't mind. And they still ate what was left.

Thanks Jeannie615! It was my own fault. I didn't have a central stake through all the layers. Normally I use a crusting buttercream which sets very solid and have never had a transportation problem, even when I don't remember to stake it. This was my first time using Swiss BC, and it doesn't set up the same way (although it was really beautifully smooth). It was my own fault, a stupid rookie mistake. The cake itself was easy though, it didn't take long to make and everyone was impressed with what t...
