its a color flow, you trace the pattern then transfer the design on the cake, the tutu is done with fondant, everything else is paint by hand, but i think the must difficult part is the borders of the top and the bottom one, very fragile. make extras they can brake.

Beautiful! You did an outstanding job with the color flow on your ballerina. I love the added dimension of the fondant tutu. Your cake collar looks great too!
