Thank You, they are actually 50/50 Gumpaste Fondant. We pulled them off right before serving the cake. I didn't think of modeling chocolate at the time haha

Thank You, This dessert table was fun to design and make. It was such a beautiful venue and the Bride had wonderful taste in decorating. (The Bride made the owls out of ceramic for the cake topper.)

Very unique! May I ask why did you pull them off before serving the cake since it was fondant/gumpaste?

Well, for one I let the leaves harden before placing them on the cake, so they were not really intended to be consumed. Also I never fully cover a cake with fondant because I believe it is not always liked by all (unless requested by the customer - to be honest I haven't had anyone want a fondant covered cake because I can acheive a smooth buttercream) . There was a very reputible and well known bakery that I had been to in Vegas and they ALWAYS remove the fondant from cake before they are served. It alw...
