Thank You, they are actually 50/50 Gumpaste Fondant. We pulled them off right before serving the cake. I didn't think of modeling chocolate at the time haha

Well, for one I let the leaves harden before placing them on the cake, so they were not really intended to be consumed. Also I never fully cover a cake with fondant because I believe it is not always liked by all (unless requested by the customer - to be honest I haven't had anyone want a fondant covered cake because I can acheive a smooth buttercream) .
