I had always wanted to try out this technique that was inspired by Maggie Austin and finally got the chance to experiment. Was surprisingly easy and loved the end result.

Have been making cakes for over 50 years but am new to rolled fondant. Is it all edible??? What a stupendous job.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Maris the board was textured using a silk frilling tool by just pushing it into the icing and rolling it from side to side and repeating this all around the cake.
