Red velvet cake pops with dark chocolate chips in green tea cake, with chestnut buttercream. decoration inspired by Franz ladybug collection. Tea cup is gumpaste, with isomalt as "green tea".
I baked the cake pops first. Similar to a tutorial by Once upon a Pedestal Polka dot cake, except that i added dark chocolate chips in red velvet batter for cake pops to get spots on the "ladybugs". There was also a similar cake here some time ago, but tutorial for it wasn't free so I experimented.
I love this!! I have to do a martini themed cake shortly. Wouldn't it be cool to put 'martini' cake balls in the center? hmm..thanks for the idea. Soo you just bake the already made cake balls in the center?
