My cake for the Fashion Issue Of Cake Central Magazine......
I heart fashion so much.... the Vogue Fall issue is on my nightstand as we speak. So it was a thrilled to be asked to create something for the Fall Fashion Issue of Cake Central Magazine. My inspiration was a tri-color Stella McCartney dress. I knew I wanted to create something that really allowed the textiles to speak. Houndstooth has made a huge comeback, so I created the bow on top with that pattern. I did stenciling on the 2nd and 4th tier. The middle tier I covered in Navy blue fondant and then I hand made fondant sequins that I covered with navy blue disco dust. The bottom tier was covered with hand made fondant ruffles that took about 9 hours, but I loves the movement of them. I was very honored to be included with all of the other amazing designers in the mag. Great job to all of you! I also am so fortunate that my husband shot the photos for me...Kevin Paul Photography.
