Fisrt thanks to all who posted their versions of this. I got the instructions from this site http://frostingfun.blogspot.com . But Instead of using a styrofoam head as they say I used the 3D egg pan from wilton and molded my own head out of rk treats I also used a coffee cup to make a neck. I placed it on a board slightly larger than neck and placed on top of cake using dowel rods to support weight and also center dowel rod all the way to the bottom for support.

Thanks for the how-to site address...I would love to recreate this for my son's birthday (he will be turning 7 in May)

hey! Did you alter the RK treat recipe? Idid a cake like this using RK treats and after I'd gotten it all decorated, the head fell apart bcuz the RK treats were soft in the middle!!

No I just used traditional recipe 3tbsp butter, 10 oz pack of marshmellows, and 6cups rice cereal. I moulded it and let it sit over night so that it would harded or the marshmellow to set.

Shoot. I let mine sit for 8 hours and wrapped it in fondant for double measure. Everything was going well, then as soon as I declared it finished... it fell apart!!! You did a great job though! Maybe need to use the egg pan next time instead of molding it by hand.

I really like to use the egg pan because you can pack it very firmly with it. I don't know but that might be the key. This cake actually sat in my fridge over night to much cake for a small family get together

It is actually a form of fondant made using marshmellows. I got the recipe here on this wed site I can't remember who posted it though.
