I don't think it needs a bloomin thing! It's a piece of art. I think one bead more would be too much, one less - not enough. (In other words, perfect)!

I think you are right, it could be easily overdone. Maybe a silver gumpaste/ready made topper if it was a wedding cake ('standing' monogram). Thank you all so much for your very kind comments, I was a bit lost on this one!
