Thank you. After I measured the height and width of the cake, I used the measurements to cut a strip of wax paper. I melted blue and drk chocolate candy melts, and drizzled a design on the wax paper. After letting the melted chocolate sit and firm up, I carefully wrapped it around the cake, (without pressing hard and smoothing it) and then placed it in the fridge to harden completely. I forgot to add after wrapping the the cake with the chocolate drizzled wax paper, let it sit in the fridge for 5 to 10 minutes to harden, then carefully pull off the wax paper.
Thank you... I saw this idea on Cake Central, and I couldn't wait to try it. It took two tries, the second turned out flawless. It is messy, fun and some what easy. Remember, measure twice, cut once! ;-)
Thank you so much for the instructions. I am so going to try this for one of my next cakes if I can get a hold of the candy melts. I just can't get over how pretty it is.
