Book cake

I made this for my cousin to celebrate her engagement/housewarming and fiance's birthday. I came up with this design to incorporate all three celebrations. The tree on the left had all of their nine names and ages (she has three kids, he has four) to represent the blended families. On the right I used an edible texta to write the chapters in their lives since their children met, to their first date, engagement, purchase of their house together etc, all the way to chapter 10 - happily ever after. I did four 'lamington' trays of chocolate mud cake. It was about 50cm x 30cm big and fed about 70 people.
