Love this beehive! I hope to make one for my daughter's first beeday :) Can you tell me which tip you used to make the dots that size? Also the size of the cake pans and any tips you could provide for the cute little bees would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the inspiration and such a "bee"autiful cake!
I used a large round tip to make the dots, it was a #18. I think the pan sizes were 12, 10 and 8". To make the bees I took white fondant and made tiny little balls which I then pressed on to get the wing shape and set them aside while I made the bee bodies. To make the body of the bee I colored fondant yellow (you don't need much) and made little ovals. Then I used black food writing markers to draw on the stripes and faces. Finally, I used a tiny bit of water to attach the wings (I dusted them with pearl luster dust too. I just noticed your profile pic! You made a beehive cake! Great job!
