Fantastic job!! Could you please tell me how you made the bottles and what you used for ice? Fabulous!

Thanks a lot! Sure I can. First I made a mold from an original beer bottle with latex (It takes about a week) then I combined 1/2 cup of sugar with 1/2 of corn syrup + half of a 1/4 of tsp. of brown Wilton color, mixed really well and cooked in the microwave for 5 minutes, poured in the mold making sure all walls are well covered with the melted sugar, then leave it to cool down for around 1 hour. For the ice is the same ingredients but the color; cook this in 50% power in the microwave for 6 minutes the...

This is great! how did you manage to keep your ice clear??
AromaDesserts 9/3/12 at 7:06pm
Hi Rosie, It's the cooking time and temperature. Cook the 1/2 cup of sugar with 1/2 cup of corn syrup in the microwave at 50% power for 6 minutes and then 1 minute and 30 seconds in high; it will keep the clear color. Pour them in a silicone mold (I have one for brownies that works perfect) , It's from Wilton) and let them cool for about 45 minutes one hour! Let me know if you have questions :) Thanks for the nice comments!

Hi Eve, sure I can. For the bottles, I washed (really well, better in the dishwasher) and dried a beer bottle, empty and save the lid; when it's clean and dry put the lid back on and start to brush liquid latex, one hand at time, leave it to dry completely before brushing the second hand...

Apply about 20 hands of latex, but make sure each hand is completely dry before applying the next one. When the last hand of latex is applied let it dry for 2-3 days. Dust the outside of your mold with cornstarch before taking out the bottle from the mold, this will prevent to stick it self.
