The body is yellow cake filled with buttercream, frosted with buttercream and covered in fondant. The head is made of fondant. I used a texture mat to make the scales and hand painted the whole thing.

Really cool cake! What texture mat did you use?

I used an alligator texture mat for the outside of the snake. For the front of the neck, I used a very small palette knife and made each scale one at a time. Thanks
