I have been wanting to make a patchwork cake for ages now and I finally got a free hand in making a cake for a friend's daughter for her 18th birthday! I thouroughly enjoyed making this cake! The bottom was a 15cm hexegon shape and the top a 12,5 cm round! Fairly small cake but it did take me 5 hours to only do the patchwork!
