@ ching74 - First I put a disk of bright yellow fondant 2" smaller than my cake size on the top of my cake. Then I covered my cake in the blue fondant (lightly dust the yellow fondant before doing this so that the top layer of fondant you are now putting on doesn't stick to it). Then I cut with a pizza cutter a '+' and 'X' in the blue fondant just over the yellow disc - careful not to cut too deep or you will cut into the disc below. Peel back the corners and lay yellow triangles of fondant over them...

... gently curl the triangles over some sponges till they try (about 24 hours depending on your humidity) :-)
