Blush and gold with antique buttons....

I was asked to create a cake for Bridalifestyle Magazine. They were doing a shoot with the Downton Abbey theme. They asked me to create a table cake that had a very elegant feel to it. I started with fondant that I dyed blush. Then I hand made multiple buttons and keys. I also made the ribbons from fondant. Photo by Kevin Paul Photography.

ddon722, Yes. I actually used a candy mold!

I love the buttons and keys! Were the buttons from molds as well?

Hi Lovinspoonfull! Yes, the buttons were a mold as well. They were from a flexible silicone mold that I got from First impressions mold. I have used candy melts in them as well, and it works great. The skeleton key I believe I got off of amazon, but can't remember. I bought it last year, and I think that's where I found it!
