Is your dummy cake made from fondant or royal icing. How did you do it?
I use Roayl Icing. I just did it directly on the styrofoam. Much harder then on a real cake. (I usually make a vertical mark in the icing to get straight lines and couldn't do that on the dummy since I just did the basketweave directly on the styrofoam.)
