Square Petal Sally

Love the petal effect and wanted to try it on a square cake. Made this for my Aunt's anniversary. 12-9-6 square tiers finished in Pastry Pride and sprayed with edible pearl spray. Fantasy flower is 50/50 gumpaste/fondant and dusted with disco dust. :-)

Looks gorgeous! I'm making a square 11" cake tonight/this a.m. and I want to use this technique! I wanted to see how it looked on a square cake first. Thanks so much! I think I'll use some pearl/silver spray on mine.....time will tell. Happy Baking!

Thanks so much! @pinkpiggysweets I know I love this technique. My only regret is that my dear aunt wanted PP instead of BC - I think the technique would have had a crisper look especially at the corners!
