hi mamabutton. thanks! it's been a year since i made that cake, so i don't remember whose instructions i followed, but someone else on cakecentral gave some tips on achieving this. it's basically homemade hard candy tinted an auburn color to look like beer. it dries hard enough to hold up the empty beer can.
