I love getting to create different cakes, and I was excited to make this for my bride. I iced the cake in ivory buttercream. Then I place a wide fondant ribbon at the base of each tier. I hand made the fondant bows and tails, and then placed them in a cascade on the cake. Hand piped buttercream dots above and below the fondant ribbons.

love your cake! how did you get the bows to stay on? i had a bow fall off during a bridal shower

Thank you Cindy333. I do several things to keep the bows in place. I use some royal and some melted candy melts and brush the backs of the bows with those, and place them on the cake when they are cold. However, since it was like 100 when I delivered this cake, and the venue has huge windows with natural light coming in, I went ahead and placed toothpicks under the edges of the bows to anchor them in place.

Cont: I leave a sheet for my servers, and marked on the sheet that there were toothpicks, so they would know. It's hard to keep them in place when it's on buttercream and it's so warm outside!
