The bottle cap is a mimic of a San Miguel Beer (local and very popular) bottle cap with the date reflecting my FIL's birth year and "Lolo Dad" which is what my son and nephews call him. He had just passed away a few months before and the family was still torn up about it. I was glad to have been able to make them happy in a tiny way.

Chocolate beer cake with BC and MMF. I used Cerveza Negra (a local dark beer) because I couldn't find any Guinness though the recipe calls for it. It tasted a-maze-ing (brownie-like) with a hint of beer of course. I would like to try it next time without the beer, though.
