Simple Hello Kitty Sheet Cake

Simple Hello Kitty Sheet Cake on Cake Central

I wanted to post this cake to help out those who are new to cake decorating. Here is an easy way to make a cute cake for your client! What I did was take a picture from a coloring book and duplicate it onto wax paper in the sections of each part of the picture for patterns. Do not cut out with scissors, just leave them on the wax paper. Then I rolled out the fondant in the color needed and layed the pattern over the top. I then took a very sharp exacto knife and cut out each piece of the picture. I layed a sheet of wax paper over the coloring page so that I would have an exact guide for placements. I just built the picture back up with all the pieces like a puzzle. Use a little dab of water to make the pieces stick together. You can choose to lay the entire thing over the cake as is, or you can roll out another piece of fondant to lay your finished product on so it has a background like I did here. Add a trim and you're done! Simple as that! I hope this was clear enough :) If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help! Happy baking!
