This is beautiful! I haven't tried stenciling yet, do you have to let it dry between sections? Didn't know if it would smear if still wet.

How in the world do you stencil on buttercream? I tried it once---let's say giant mess!

We use a non-crusting buttercream, but the iced cake in the freezer for about 10 to 15 minutes until it firms up, then quickly stencil over the firm buttercream.
