Thank you everyone! My MMF is just 12oz marshmallows & 2T water melted in microwave for 1:30. Add 1/2 of a 2 lb bag 10x sugar to mixer bowl. Add melted marsh mixture. Top with rest of sugar and mix with dough hook. Add 1t of water as needed to get to the right consistency.
I just discovered you and looked at ALL your cakes...you are amazing!! Your work is so beautiful and creative! I saw that you use sugarshack's smoothing method...not too familiar with it...curious as to what kind of BC do you use.
Can you share any tips on how you hand cut your fondant so perfectly? Any special tools you use, do you do anything special to your fondant to prepare it? When I've done it, it will sometimes tear or stretch and the edges take quite a bit of smoothing afterwards. Any help would be much appreciated...you do such beautiful work!
Thank you! Roll out your fondant and let it sit for 5-10 min before you cut it if it is too soft. Always use a sharp exacto knife or a PME roller tool when cutting shapes. And I take the time to always smooth the edges of whatever I cut so they are clean. That takes up a lot of time, but that's how you get a clean looking cake!
