I made this cake for a friend of mine's father who turns 79 on July 4, 2012. The bottom cake is red velvet, the middle tier is white and the top tier is white cake that is colored blue. All of the cake s and accents are made out of fondant.

Love your bold colors and your design. How did you make that tilt? It was nice meeting you at Cake Club tonight and I look forward to seeing more of your cakes.

Thanks, Teresa! It was nice meeting you, too. I have a PVC pipe running through all of the cakes. I covered the pipe with plastic wrap. The top tier is tilted with a 45 degree "elbow" piece of PVC pipe. You can find all of those neat parts in the plumbing section at a hardware store. See you soon!
