Bassinet with Mobile

So Nice!!!!! How did you make the hood on the bassinet?, what size cakes did you make?

Cake Mama, it's a 12x9 oval cake. I bought a 8" floral foam half-sphere and covered it in a lot of plastic wrap then rolled out gumpaste and covered the half-sphere. I took a flexible tape measure and laid it across the top in the middle and carefully cut it in half with an exacto blade, resulting in two quarter-sphere pieces which I let dry in place.
