Easter Nest

This cake was quite a fun challenge. I was away from home and had to use what I could lay my hands on, in another house with no going out to buy anything extra. My Easter Nest was the result and I had a lot of fun doing it. Heart shaped layer cake with the front carved to form the actual nest. Yellow butter-cream covered the cake with green tinted coconut lining the nest. More green tinted coconut surrounds the cake. The eggs are speckled sugar-coated chocolate. I am afraid the chickens came from my sewing basket, but do look rather nice.
