My version of the mug of beer cake I have seen on here so many times!! Inspired from so many... The only problem was that I couldn't get it very sturdy. I had cake boards, straw supports, centre dowel... and it was so wobbly! Thank goodness my parents only live down the street and it made it in one piece!

I am still new, too! Only been at it for a year. This site is great, everyone is so helpful! This was just 6" rounds, torted and stacked, then iced in buttercream. The can on top is just an empty beer can hanging on a buttercream covered dowel.

That is the most realistic looking foam I have seen! How did you apply it to the cake?
DanisMom 7/2/12 at 5:06pm
I believe I used a Wilton #8 round tip. I just used buttercream and piled it on. Kind of held it in one place until it was fluffy and moved beside it. Not a very great explanation, but I hope it helps!! lol
