In community album: Children's Birthday Cakes
The theme for this birthday was all about bubbles. I made the sugar bubbles and balls out of green apple and blue raspberry Jolly Ranchers since this is for a children's party and I don't see the point in the decor unless it tastes good! :D

The top tier is my "Aloha" cake, with layers of Perfectly Pineapple and Mango cake and guava butter cream. The bottom layer has Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry cake layers to make a Neapolitan. ;D

Could you share your recipe for the pineapple and mango cake and your guava butter cream please? I love this cake it's pretty! I made stars one time for a New Year's Eve cake and they turned out really pretty too! The colors that the ranchers have are so pretty, looks like stained glass!! :D

This is wonderful. I'm also curious to know how you made the bubbles from Jolly Ranchers. :-)

When I made my stars you had to melt the ranchers in the oven for a few minutes on low (put a piece of aluminum foil on the pan, spray with nonstick cooking spray and place the ranchers on there and put in the oven, keep an eye on them it shouldn't take very long to melt) , once you take them out wait a couple of minutes, use a round cookie cutter to cut out your shapes. Set aside and let cool completely... I don't know if that is how Milisweet did hers, but that is how I did mine.
