Smooth buttercream with fondant belt....

The bride asked me if I could recreate the belt from her bridal gown onto the base of each tier on her wedding cake. I really enjoyed making this cake. I started with pale ivory buttercream. Then I created the base of the belt out of ivory fondant. I then hand made pearl pieces that I attached to royal icing. I also used silver dragees for those pieces as well. Then I made jewel shaped chocolates out of white chocolate that I dyed gray. I covered those in silver hologram dust to replicate the sparkle pieces on the belt. I will add a photo I took with my cell phone of a close up of the fondant belt.
