This was a buttercream iced cake - made to look like a tabletop with fondant reminders of good memories of a life of faith, family, friends, and work. Every item has a meaning - even the little chocolate rocks, the map of mission trips, the pen with her bs. name, little jokes in the message as well as the list that reflects the priorties of life. Everything is edible including the chocolate frame and vase with flower. My friends aren't big on fondant so this cake was something they would like to eat and yet had decorative elements to make it special...but they could be removed. Only the Bible cake if fully covered in fondant. And there is cake in the gum paste tea cup.
