This is a gingerbread house I made a couple of years ago in Chicago. We have since moved to Tampa and I have found making gingerbread is very different here in this weather!

wow, i usually sail through the gingerbread house pics because they start to look the same, but this one is really nice! it caught my eye because it's so realistic yet fun!

wow........that is one awesome gingerbread house!!! How did you do the roof??? Are those nerds or sprinkles on the icing on the roof??

thanks!! the roof is just gingerbread with royal icing piped on - and those are regular sprinkles :)

The template came from a Good Housekeeping magazine about 6 years ago. They may have it on their website.?
