This cake was based on the painting A Friend In Need by C.M. Coolidge. The client wanted the names and birthdays of 9 people to be incorporated on the cake, so each collar carries a birthday person's name, and their cards display their birthday month and year. The two puppies at the front I added for two of the birthday people who were minors, and I didn't want to portray them smoking and drinking! The numbers worked out perfectly that way anyhow. All is edible, TFL!
