I was inspired to make this cake by a picture of a couture wedding dress I saw online - it had a very interesting texture on the skirt, almost like wisps of material. The top tier represents a bride's headpiece, the middle her corset, and the bottom the skirt. The flowers are made of gumpaste, and I experimented with cutting and twisting to create the textured look of the flowers on the bottom tier.
