This Portal of Power cake is made with 2 round cakes frosted together. Then around the edges I cut varying lengths of Kit Kat candy bars. I made gray frosting to cover the candy bars and create the 'blocks'. Then, I used my decorator paint brush to 'water color' some watery black frosting to paint the 'rocks' on the portal of power. The Skylander sign was cut from the plastic package from the figurine placed on the top of the cake. Swirls of watery purple frosting create the 'power swirls'. My 11 year old loved it so much he wants me to make another one!
