Very clean work! Looks great. I just made a similar cake & used the same extruder. Question...how do you clean it and keep the black & oil from coming out with the fondant? And I NEED that recipe for the blueberry jello mmf! Can you share? imurray_pedsrd@hotmail.com. Thanks! :)

hi everyone. thanks for the great compliments! i edited the description to read "berry blue" (instead of "blueberry") jello fondant. the recipe i used is right here in the recipes section. just search "jello mmf" by tesso. i added about an extra cup of powdered sugar. it must have been yummy because the kids actually ate it. last year they just peeled it off (no jello).

Great looking cake!!! I saw the link to the jello that you used is that the only brand that can be used or can you just find any jello brand at the grocery store?

thanks CakeSistah! i suppose any brand of gelatin would work, but i'm partial to the Jello brand.

great cake! how did you do the rainbows?
chestercheeto 6/6/12 at 4:03pm
momoftwinsckgn: i used the walnut hollow clay extruder to make the rainbow, glued the pieces together with water, and stood them up on the cake with toothpicks, using the clouds as additional support.

This cake is so pretty! Best rainbow I've seen! How did you make the clouds? Thanks!
chestercheeto 6/20/12 at 9:15pm
chrissycorrado: thanks! i made the clouds by forming random sized fondant balls, then covering them with a thin sheet of fondant, and finally rubbing my finger around the balls for some definition. hope that makes sense.

I see so many cakes with this type of lettering made out of fondant, is there a template or are they hand carved, love it, PS LOVE your rainbow design too!
chestercheeto 10/18/12 at 3:44am
thanks Bilbar. i used Tappits by FMM for the letters and numbers. i bought them at global sugar art.
