Awesome! It doesn't look like a beginner cake to me! How big is the dragon, just curious?
JanaElizabeth 4/25/12 at 3:25am
Thank you :) The biggest challenge for me was to make is small, haha. The board was 12 inch, the dragon was around 13 inch (33 cm) tall

W.o.w...amazing, totally amazing!! please tell how you did the eyes. Thank you :)
JanaElizabeth 4/25/12 at 2:52pm
Thanks everyone :) For the eyes I made 2 white balls. I painted them with 2 different greens and brown, then I painted the pupil with black, white dot for the highlight. When they were dry I pressed two holes into his head and put the eyeballs in. Then I put the eyelids (or whatever you want to call it :) ) to cover top and the bottom of the eyeball. I put little bit of clear piping gel on the eyes to make them look wet and more live like :) Hope this helped a bit :)

I'd like to know how you did the scales. Please tell. You did an awesome job on this!
stana 4/26/12 at 1:40am
Amazing!
JanaElizabeth 4/26/12 at 2:03am
Thanks again :) For the scales I used little tool thats like a half circle (used for smiles on ppl) or you can just cut the straw creating half circle at the end. Then just press it into your icing. Make the first raw of the half circles beside each other and then in a raw above go between each 2. I tried different sizes on piece of icing, so its kinda in proportion. You dont want huuuge scales or very tiny ones. Did this help you? :)

Forgot to say that I painted it after I did the scales. I used very watery black so the colour get into the little lines creating kidna shadow between the scales
