This cake was traditional layers on top and bottom and barrel in the center covered in off white buttercream, scrolls and dots with a deep purple gumpaste flower to accent
Actually we didn't have to worry about the fading because we did not add the flower until delivery and set up was finished but I will say we also did an off white with red carnations on this same weekend (I have a pic in my gallery). We added them the day before and had no problems with fading on the buttercream.
Good to know! I painted some fondant today and left it in the sun. Two hours and no fading. Hoorray! Thank you so much for answering my questions. I really appreciate it!
