This is lovely. the red coloring is outstanding! Please tell me how you colored the gumpaste roses.

Hi, thanks for your compliment. I must correct my spelling on the cakesafe also. Lol. I used americolor gel coloring to color my gumpaste, formed my flowers, let them dry overnight, then used a paintbrush dipped in vanilla flavoring and a little red petal dust.I brushed them with this very lightly and let dry again.

Lovely cake! How did you attach the dummies to the sps? Thank you!!
CLW 4/11/12 at 7:23am
Hi nicunurse. I attached each dummy to the SPS plate below it with double sided sticky tape. The strong, padded type that you hang pics with, not the regular stuff.

CLW Thank you!! Wow! I can't believed you traveled with it like that!! I would be so worried that it would fall over or slide off!! Kudos!!!

Believe me I was sooooo stressed. But I added extra supports under each sps plate, put a small dowel on each cake and dummy section, then jiggled it a little to see if it was wobbly in any area. Then I placed it in my cakesafe and I took off. I didn't check it or the other three tier square in the other cakesafe until I was half way to the venues. I was too afraid. When I did stop I made my hubby check. He was very quiet then said..........they are perfect. I don't know how I've lived without the cakesafe.
