I attempted this cake for a friend at work. Turned out pretty well. Smoothing buttercream really not easy though.....any tips?

I think you did a great job!! I have only recently gotten "better" at smoothing buttercream. My best tips: 1) Don't be afraid to pile it on too thick!! 2) Viva papertowels. Good luck!! Btw, I LOVE the jewels hanging from the wires:D
