Good job for a first time tiered cake. I also had the same problem with my first one. I had some bulges on it. Luckily, i was able to hide some of it since it was a cherry blossom cake and surprisingly no one seemed to notice and received raved reviews! What kind of fondant did you use? Also, I think I know what I did wrong and why I had the bulges. I filled and crumb coat and didn't wait long enough for the cake and filling to settle. How long did you wait before you covered yours in fondant?
Thank you Kel28. I had Wilton fondant left over from the cake decorating class. I am planning on using home made MMF or Satin Ice in the future. What do you recommend? I covered the cakes with fondant right after filling them... oops =0)
