I really, really like this look! Did it take 40 bottles of sprinkles? And did you just smush them on by hand? Love love love it!

Thats it, just smushed on by hand. I put each layer in a large pan (sheet size cake pan) and before buttercream crusted applied the sprinkles, than the same thing for the next layer and than stacked it, and then covered the next layer and stacked. The sheet pan did contain most of the sprinkles, but it does make somewhat of a sprinkle covered floor! The dogs enjoyed!

Besides the fact that this is such a fun cake that also looks so good, I would also think the addition benefit would be not having to make the buttercream perfectly smooth! Well done

SaraLynnW, this is just a picture of a cake I made, you can use any cake receipe of your choice. If you look under the tutorials on this site you will see some good directions for making this.
