Curious George Cake

Curious George Cake on Cake Central

I made this for my son's birthday party this weekend. It didn't turn out exactly how I had pictured it in my head but over all I am happy with it. The paint is royal icing for both the drips and the painting on the sides. I only made the prime colors: yellow, red, and blue. I got the other shades by mixing those together.

I am lovin' this cake! My daughter is an artist and her 6th b-day is coming up. You have just gave me inspiration! If you don't mind, I'd like to copy some of your idea? I had planned on having some of her pictures made into edible images to place around the cake but was look for ways to bring it all together!

It is a toy. =) my modeling skills aren't so great! LOL. I got him on a bottle of bubbles from walmart. I am sure that they still have those bubbles. If not I could try and find him and send him to you.

I love this idea! This scene in the movie is my 18 month old's favorite. Did you model your george or is it a toy? If so where did you find it? I'd love to use your idea for his 2nd birthday!
