Dr. Seuss First Birthday
A celebration of Seuss & my son's first birthday! The cake is frosted with buttercream. The characters are hand made with gumpaste/fondant & hand painted with food coloring. Serves 89. This was one of my first cakes. At that level of expertise I would guess I would have charged $600. If I were to re-create this cake, with more experience, I would charge $750

@Princess988 I'll take that as a compliment! I charge $35 each for this type of figurine. They take a great deal of time to create. I would need 2-4 weeks lead time depending on when they are requested.
I will share with you my secret. I photocopied (sometimes scaling the image) the characters from the books. I then placed clear plastic over the copy. This helped me get the exact right shape. I sometimes placed the copy on top of the piece I was sculpting to ensure I had correct placement.
