The Winner's Circle
This was the groom's cake from the wedding I did today. They own thoroughbreds and he LOVES racing! Very non-traditional groom's cake - it was carrot with white chocolate cream cheese and orange Italian meringue buttercream. Covered in fondant and sponged in two different greens. The circle was fondant pressed with a cobblestone mat. Gumpaste "iron" fence painted with black food color and extract. Small fondant "brick" wall 3/4 away around with fondant bushes. gumpast blanket and rose wreath for horse.
Great job!
This one came out really cute! And interesting cake flavor combinations...
Thanks Godiva! Yeah, the white chocolate cream cheese frosting is SO good with the carrot cake. It has orange oil in it, so the orange buttercream enhances it.
I love how you did the sponged thing with two different colors. It looks so nice and velvety! Such an awesome cake, just like all of your cakes!
