Love this cake! What did you put on it to make it shine so much?

I dissolve a little pearl luster dust in vegetable oil and smooth some one with a paint brush, it absorbs into the fondant much like shortening and doesn't alter the flavor, but leaves this nice shine.

I carved them by hand, it was not a mold
