50Th Birthday Oil Of Olay

50Th Birthday Oil Of Olay on Cake Central

I had many issues with this cake!!!!! Glad its done. This is for a special classmate of mine I graduated with. I had High Hopes!!!!! The design is from another cake board Michelle. Hers was fabulous!!!! It is a biggie! it stand 13" tall, center dowel construction, 5 oval layers, and 2 5" layers. Butttercream with fondant accents. I had designed a custome label for the cake, but my printer wouldn't work for the first time in 3 years!!!!! So I had to free hand the label, it looks horrrible!!!!

You did a great job even without the printer! You're buttercream looks so smooth which is pretty tough on cruves. Good job on this! She'll love it!

boween I don't think you could make a horrible cake if you tried. I wish my best ones were this good!

You're an artist, only a cake decorator would be able to see the flaws. To work with the label's script alone will take a good command of precision.

Just use the small ovals, I would think you still need 5 or at least 4 layers to give you the bottle height, instead of a 6 in cap you could use a 4 inch top.
